KAWASAKI, JAPAN, May 11, 2017 — NLT Technologies, Ltd. (President: Deshu Yu; Head office: Kawasaki, Kanagawa) developed and introduced four new liquid crystal modules, 8.0-inch WVGA, 12.1-inch WXGA, 15.0-inch XGA and 15.6-inch Full HD. These modules are ideal for industrial applications used mainly outdoors such as boating equipment or construction devices.
- Ultra-high luminance
The 12.1-inch wide and 15.0-inch models have a luminance of 1600 cd/m2, the 15.6-inch wide model has a luminance of 1500 cd/m2, and the 8.0-inch wide model has a luminance of 1000 cd/m2. The ultra-high luminance of these models results in display with vivid colors and excellent visibility even in environments of intense light such as direct sunlight.
- Wide operating temperature range
All models feature wide operating temperature ranges. The 8.0-inch wide model has especially wide operating temperature ranges of -40 to +85°C, which provide appropriate display of images even at very low and high temperatures and environments with large temperature fluctuations. The displays guarantee stable performance even under harsh conditions which industrial applications may be exposed to.
- Excellent display performance
The 8.0-inch wide and 15.6-inch wide models incorporate the NLT’s proprietary wide viewing angle technology, Super Fine TFT (SFT). This technology provides ultra-wide viewing angles of 176 degrees horizontally and vertically and reduces color shift that may occur with changes in the viewing angle, guaranteeing clear display without visual stress in various operation environments.
With more and more industrial applications equipped with displays being used, demands for display products that are designed to withstand outdoor applications are continuously growing. These new modules not only feature the ultra-high luminance that improves visibility in intense ambient light environments but also guarantee superior performance under various operating conditions, contributing to adding high values to display-equipped devices.
NLT Technologies will continue to enhance its product line-up that meets various operating conditions with wide ranges of display sizes and resolutions in order to meet the various demands of customers.
The prototypes of new LCD modules will be showcased at “Display Week 2017”, May 23 to 25 in Los Angeles, California, USA, in booth 1005, and “Computex Taipei”, May 30 to June 3 in Taipei, Taiwan.
